I'm not sure exactly how this works, or what this means, but I've been dying to write something on this website for awhile. Time is the thing that's holding me back, but isn't that the thing that holds all of us back? Instead I've been gardening, making jelly and salsa and sourdough bread, and there's that whole mom thing and even my actual job of being a librarian. Oh, and the most important job of all, ubering my children to all of their activities. However, today is a rainy Saturday (thank the Lord), and we don't have any activities today (which just seems unnatural).
This morning Jim and I ran 6 very wet miles at the park, then I made clam chowder and sourdough starter crackers, a recipe I will link to at the end of this post. Now, I'm sitting on the couch with just a little extra time on my hands, waiting for the sourdough to rise, because I'm attempting bread bowls this evening. If they are good, I will share the recipe. If they are bad, maybe I'll share the fail on our Instagram. I should be reading a book, because I'm so behind on my reading (remember my actual library job), but like I said, I've been dying to write something on this website.
Tomorrow the crazy starts with soccer and dance and getting ready for the week, so right now I'm going to enjoy quiet kids, a husband and dog sleeping next to me on the couch, and some football on tv. Oh and those sourdough starter crackers that are legit the greatest crackers I've ever tasted. My pictures aren't perfect or even that great, but these crackers are amazing. The only thing you'll need is some unfed sourdough starter, flour, water, salt and herbs of your choosing. Oh and here is the link to those delightful crackers.
